Contained in each Statue is a volatile substance, 𝖒𝖆𝖓𝖆. How exactly these dormant Statues took on this magical double life is lost to the ages.
We aren't quite sure yet, but the early Statue caretakers have been noticing some ... transmutations.
Statues with more 𝖒𝖆𝖓𝖆 have been noted to transform from its dormant self to materials unknown to humanity. It appears that rarer materials have an inclination to be denser with 𝖒𝖆𝖓𝖆.
If present observations are to be taken for any merit, it appears that 𝖒𝖆𝖓𝖆 is the source of change/transformation.
Some of the brightest caretakers have been performing arcane ceremonies to control the 𝖒𝖆𝖓𝖆 in their Statues...
𝖗𝖎𝖙𝖚𝖆𝖑𝖘 performed by Statue caretakers have been the key way to utilize/increase 𝖒𝖆𝖓𝖆. It is a lost art, we only know of a few rituals and hope to glean more.
In the pre-MERGE era, it appears that the Statues are absorbing more 𝖒𝖆𝖓𝖆 from its surroundings. Caretakers have harnessed this phenomena as the 𝖒𝖆𝖓𝖆 boost ritual.
Unfortunately, it appears this ritual has been rendered useless in the post-MERGE world.
Do not fret, it appears that some caretakers in far-away lands have discovered a ritual to move 𝖒𝖆𝖓𝖆 from one Statue to another...
In the post-MERGE world, where 𝖒𝖆𝖓𝖆 is scarce, the channeling 𝖒𝖆𝖓𝖆 𝖗𝖎𝖙𝖚𝖆𝖑 offers an opportunity to aggregate 𝖒𝖆𝖓𝖆 towards a few key statues under your care.
Beware though, channeling has consequences and doesn't behave like a simple transfer...
Channeling renders the statue "giving" 𝖒𝖆𝖓𝖆 inert (with no 𝖒𝖆𝖓𝖆). The channeling ritual is all or nothing.
Channeling is a commitment and a sacrifice. Once a statue is selected to receive the 𝖒𝖆𝖓𝖆, it can NOT be changed.
Statues receiving channeled 𝖒𝖆𝖓𝖆 can spend the 𝖒𝖆𝖓𝖆 but NOT channel it themselves. You CAN ONLY channel inherent + boosted 𝖒𝖆𝖓𝖆.
Channeling is a deliberate action. One that caretakers will take with great weight, once performed you can not "dechannel" a statue. Each time you channel, you give up one statue's potential to increase another's.
Keen observers on NFT marketplaces will notice new attributes added to each statue. To break it down in more detail:
Usable Mana: the sum total of ALL the 𝖒𝖆𝖓𝖆 (Inherent + Boosted + Channeled) contained within the statue. In the future you can consume the 𝖒𝖆𝖓𝖆...
Inherent Mana: the base 𝖒𝖆𝖓𝖆 from the statue's rarity itself. Can not change as it is a reflection of statue rarity.
Boosted Mana: 𝖒𝖆𝖓𝖆 gained by performing the 𝖒𝖆𝖓𝖆 boost ritual.
Channeled Mana: the 𝖒𝖆𝖓𝖆 received from statues that performed the channeling ritual and directed the 𝖒𝖆𝖓𝖆 to this statue.
Statues will visually change due to the amount of Usable Mana contained; strategically plan how you intend to increase that attribute by performing rituals.
pre-MERGE: early care-takers have discovered Statues contain 𝖒𝖆𝖓𝖆.
pre-MERGE to MERGE hard fork: care-takers can perform the 𝖒𝖆𝖓𝖆 boost ritual to increase their Statue's 𝖒𝖆𝖓𝖆.
MERGE hard fork to onwards: 𝖒𝖆𝖓𝖆 channeling ritual will be unveiled with updated Statue visuals.
